Living Experience
This exchange was my first time studying abroad. Initially, mixed feelings of anticipation and confusion enveloped me; I wasn't sure how to spend a semester in a foreign country. Fortunately, I had fellow students from Ningbo University accompanying me, and the professors in Poland were very caring towards us. Since I wasn't accustomed to the local food, I started trying to cook for myself, which improved my culinary skills. Szczecin University offers many activities, and I participated in some that allowed me to learn about the cuisine and culture of other countries. Moreover, since Poland is close to other European countries, I often traveled alone when I had no classes, immersing myself in the local culture to broaden my horizons. Overall, throughout this exchange process, I became more independent and composed; I am very grateful for this exchange experience that facilitated my all-around growth.
Gains and Insights
In conclusion, this exchange experience has broadened my horizons, enhancing my academic abilities and making me more independent and confident. I learned how to adapt to different cultural environments and deeply understood the importance of cross-cultural communication. This experience will become a valuable asset in my life.
